Precision bonding that suppresses warping and distortion, with fast and low-temperature curing.
The "VariWave" (manufactured by LAMBDA Technologies in the United States) is a frequency-variable microwave oven equipped with patented VFM technology (Variable Frequency Microwave) that enables "high-speed curing and precise adhesion of adhesives and resins." While conventional microwave ovens and industrial microwave heating devices use a fixed frequency of 2.45 GHz, VFM sweeps rapidly across the 5 to 7 GHz range. This VFM oven has numerous features that overturn the conventional wisdom of microwave heating, including uniform heating throughout the chamber, the ability to introduce metal objects, and temperature control of the heated items (including ramp rate control and constant temperature maintenance). These features make it possible to perform treatments in the curing process of adhesives and resins that were previously impossible, thereby establishing an innovative curing process.
The device comes standard with ports for various sensors, a non-contact thermometer, closed-loop high-precision temperature control, a sample observation camera, and NW10x2 ports for gas introduction and exhaust. Additionally, it is possible to conduct treatments in a simple vacuum environment or under a gas atmosphere as needed.
